In some cases, we will commission external service providers to process your data. These contractors have been selected and commissioned with diligence, are bound by our instructions and are audited regularly.

Using Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", text files that are stored on your computer to analyze your use of the website. The information the cookie generates about your use of this website is generally transferred to and stored on a Google server in the United States. However, in case IP anonymization is activated for this website, Google will shorten your IP address within the member states of the European Union or in other contract states of the agreement about the European Economic Area. The full IP address will only be transferred to a Google server in the United States in exceptional situations and will then be abbreviated there. Google uses this information as authorized by the operators of this website in order to analyze use of the website, compile reports on website activities and provide additional services for the operators of this website relating to website and Internet use.

The IP address transferred by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be connected to other data.

You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser. However please note that you may not be able to fully use all functionalities of this website in such a case. You may also prevent the collection of the data created by the cookie relating to your use of the website (incl. your IP address) and the transfer to Google as well as additional analysis by Google by installing the browser plugin available at the following link: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

This website uses Google Analytics with the extension "_anonymizeIp()". That means that IP addresses are processed only in a shortened form to prevent a direct personal reference.  Where the personal data collected about you can provide a direct personal reference, it is immediately excluded, and the personal data deleted without delay.

We use Google Analytics to analyze the use of our website and periodically improve the site. The collected statistics help us to optimize our offer and make our site more interesting to you as a user. For the exceptional cases in which personal data is transferred into the United States, Google has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield, www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework. The legal basis for the use of Google Analytics is Art. 6 Para. 1 Clause 1 lit. f GDPR.

Use of social media plug-ins / social share buttons

We currently use the following social media plugins: Facebook, Twitter, Xing. In doing so, we employ the two-click solution. That means that no personal data is transferred to the plug-in providers when you use our website. You can recognize the provider of the plug-in by the label or logo in the box. Our site provides you with the option of using the button to communicate directly with the provider of the plug-in. Only when you click on the designated box, thereby activating it, will the plug-in provider receive the information that you have access the corresponding websites of our online presence. Furthermore, the data listed earlier in this statement will be transferred. According to the providers of Facebook and Xing, the IP address is immediately anonymized when collected in Germany. Activating the plug-in also triggers the transfer of personal data to the respective plug-in provider where it will be stored (with the American providers in the United States). As the providers of plug-ins primarily collect data via cookies, we recommend deleting all cookies in the security settings of your browser before clicking on the grayed-out box.

We cannot impact the collected data and data processing procedures, nor do we know the full scope of data collection, processing purposes, storage periods. We also do not have any information about the deletion of the collected data by the plug-in providers.

The plug-in provider stores the data collected about you in the form of profiles, using them for the purposes of marketing, market research and/or customized website design. Such an analysis is especially made (also for users who are not logged in) to present customized advertisements and inform other users of the social network of your activities on our website. You have the right to object against the creation of such user profiles. To do so, you will have to contact the provider of the respective plug-in. By using plug-ins, we offer you the opportunity to interact with social networks and other users, enabling us to improve our offers and make our web presence more interesting to you as a user. The legal basis for the use of plug-ins is Art. 6 Para. 1 Clause 1 lit. f GDPR.

Data is transferred regardless of whether you own an account with the provider of the plug-in or whether you are logged in. If you are indeed logged into your account with the plug-in provider, data we collect will be directly referenced to the account existing with the plug-in provider. If you activate the button and create a link to the page, for example, the plug-in provider will store this information in your user account and regularly share it with your contacts. We recommend logging out of your social network accounts regularly after use, particularly before activating such a button to prevent a reference to your profile with the plug-in provider.

Further information regarding the purpose and scope of data collection and processing by plug-in providers is available in the following data protection statements of such providers.
